Pandemic hotlines ringing off hook
Calls have doubled since the third wave struck

The phones at the 1669 hotline call centre in Klang Hospital have been ringing off the hook since the third and by far, the deadliest wave of Covid-19 infections began earlier this month.
Since then, officers have been working around the clock on the second floor of the Erawan Centre Bangkok inside the hospital.
Most of the calls are from concerned members of the public, seeking advice on how to care for themselves during the pandemic.
