Elon Musk should apologize for insensitive comments mocking gender pronouns, LGBTQ advocacy group the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) told CNBC.
On Wednesday, Musk shared a meme mocking the use of pronouns in social media bios. In a follow-up, he said I absolutely support trans, but all these pronouns are an esthetic nightmare.
The HRC said: Musk s insensitive comments stand completely contrary to what HRC s Workplace Equality Program works with companies each day to create providing employees a safe, inclusive, and fair work environment.
His electric vehicle company Tesla has previously topped the HRC s ranking of the best places for LGBTQ people to work.
