Yet again, Agu-Amede in the Isi-Uzo Local Government Area of Enugu State has come under heavy attack as armed men said to be herdsmen have invaded Imamamaru village. The assailants killed two villagers and injured several others. The bandits also burnt about four houses, SaharaReporters learnt on Tuesday. SaharaReporters gathered that the incident occurred on Saturday, some days after a similar attack at Isiado village which left two people dead.
Bandits suspected to be herders have launched another attack on Agu-Amede community close to Eha-Amufu in the Isi-Uzo Local Government Area of Enugu State, killing one person and burning a house. SaharaReporters gathered that the recent incident happened on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Odoba and Isi Agbuhu villages in Agu-Amede. A community leader, Ephraim Ogbu, who confirmed the attack to SaharaReporters on Monday, gave the name of the victim of the latest attack as "Ikechukwu Odomi from Isi Agbuhu Agu Amede".
