President Rodrigo Roa Duterte (File photo) MANILA - President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has urged the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) to also look into the killings of police officers involved in the conduct of legitimate anti-drug operations. Duterte made the call, as he lamented the death of a cop engaged in a gunfight with a drug suspect during the April 24 buy-bust operation in Tanza, Cavite. He was referring to the case of Cpl. John Paul Digma who was killed in a buy-bust operation in Biga village in Tanza following an armed encounter with drug suspect, Leovildo Mesa Alangilan. Digma died after Alangilan, who tried to escape, shot him in the chest. The police also shot Alangilan who died on the spot. "See? Gusto kong dalhin din ito sa human rights, ireport ko rin.
