Born on April 15, 1452, in Italy, Leonardo da Vinci was a painter, draughtsman, engineer, scientist, theorist, sculptor, and architect. He is not only the painter of iconic paintings such as The Monalisa and The Last Supper but his notebooks were filled with drawings and notes on a variety of subjects including anatomy, astronomy, botany, cartography, and palaeontology.
