(INDIANAPOLIS) – The Indiana Partners for Pollution Prevention (Partners) welcomes Hanson Aggregates and St. Joseph Energy Center into the program.
Both companies will be inducted in early 2021 at a Partners Quarterly meeting. As members, each organization pledges to implement voluntary environmental initiatives at their facility, share information and expertise with other businesses, foster environmental stewardship among its employees, and help raise public awareness.
St. Joseph Energy Center (SJEC)
SJEC is a natural gas-fired combined-cycle electrical power generation station located in New Carlisle, IN. The facility utilizes cutting-edge pollution control technology to protect air and water resources. The combined electrical energy output is 725 megawatts of safe and reliable power which is transmitted onto the PJM Interconnection grid. SJEC has been in operation since 2018.
