Chennai, May 20 : The marching out of noted personalities from actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan s party Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) continued on Thursday with businessman C.K. Kumaravel being ,the latest to sever his ties. I have quit MNM. Will be looking and evaluating options like joining other parties. I will be in politics, Kumaravel, General Secretary of MNM and the founder of Naturals chain of salons.
In his resignation letter citing the party s loss in the Tamil Nadu assembly polls, Kumaravel told Kamal Haasan that instead of making history, the party was forced to read history.

Chennai, May 13 : The exit of top leaders of actor Kamal Haasan s Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) has begun and expected to continue, say party insiders.
On Thursday, MNM General Secretary and retired IAS officer Santhosh Babu announced his resignation from his post and the party s primary membership. Dear friends, Good afternoon! It s with a heavy heart that I am informing you that I am resigning my post and membership from Makkal Needhi Maiam. My decision is due to personal reasons. I thank Kamal Sir and our team for their affection and friendship, Babu said in a tweet.

ISLAMABAD: Environmentally hazardous practices in the Margalla Hills National Park (MNHP), including smoking, BBQ-ing and littering, have been outlawed in order to protect the diverse wildlife area.
According to a fresh notification, the capital police will now assist the Islamabad Wildlife Management Board (IWMB) in enforcing the environmental laws.
“The police will now patrol the park along with the wildlife staff and fine visitors for littering,” said IWMB Chairperson Rina Saeed Khan.
Cutting of trees and encroachment has also been banned, the notification said, adding: “Violators can be arrested for a month and a fine can be imposed through a summary trial. Act as responsible citizens by following law.”

Islamabad : The Environment Wing of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) would complete development and beautification work involving millions of rupees in Sector D-12 by end of this month.
According to the latest data shared by CDA’s Director General Environment Naveed Khan Tareen, the development of new parks and jogging tracks, installation of street lights, restoration of play areas and installation of steel fences would be completed in the coming weeks.
“I want to share the good news with the residents of the sector D-12 that the development work being carried out by the CDA’s Environment Wing has entered into final stages and it will be completed in the coming weeks,” he said.
