we re back with busted. first up, the nation s largest oil refinery is being accused of violating air pollution laws thousands of times in the last five years. the sierra club and environment texas plan will sue the company for allegedly releasing 10 million pounds of illegal pollution without paying proper fines or being forced to fix equipment. well, luckily, that s only 10 million pounds. exxon stands accused of violating emissions limits on at least half a dozen pollutants like sulfur dioxide, one of the components of acid rain and cancer-causing toxins like benzine, but i m sure they will compensate all of us for the pollutions of theirs that we re ingesting. oh, they are not? huh, curious. an exxon spokeswoman says the company, quote, works diligently to work with air quality permits. seem to have a different
