A woman who moved to Greystones recently has sought clarity on beach bye-laws in the area after one of her children was frightened by a dog that was off the leash down at ‘The Cove’.
Although the summer has come to an end, Greystones councillors are already looking forward to the 2024 season, particularly after the town has now become such a popular location for sea swimming, with its Blue Flag beach and its hosting of major sporting events on the calendar, such as the King of Greystones, in July.

The annual Kilmacow Spring Clean broke all records at the weekend.
In terms of number of volunteers, areas covered and the amount of rubbish collected it was the biggest since the Spring Clean was restarted in 2006.
The number of volunteers certainly went close to, and may have exceeded, 200 people of all ages. An estimated 220 bags of rubbish and loose material, including an oil tank, tyres, bicycle parts, metal, timber, loose plastic sheets and items of furniture were collected.
