Today at COP26, more than 25 countries and institutions committed to end international public finance for unabated coal, oil and gas projects.

Groundwork North Wales Garden Support thanks to Parc Adfer funding

A GARDENING project has made a difference to the local community during the Covid-19 pandemic. Thanks to funding from the Parc Adfer Community Fund and the Moondance Foundation, Goundwork North Wales has been running a successful Garden Support project in the Deeside area in the recent months. The project follows on from their previous garden support project run by the Our Back Yard Connah’s Quay Team in 2020. The Garden Support project has been open to residents managing long term health conditions and NHS key workers this spring and summer. The project has offered garden support such as grass cutting, pruning and weeding.

The World Bank’s press release notes the Bank, “will regularly update its Board on the implementation of the Action Plan,” without providing further details of what aspects of the plan it will report on.

£23,000 boost for the Green Clywedog Valley Partnership for Nature

£23,000 boost for the Green Clywedog Valley Partnership for Nature Wrexham’s Green Clywedog Valley Partnership for Nature is receiving a £23,000 grant to encourage local people to get to know their area and enjoy nature through a series of fun and educational events. Groundworks North Wales is running the project with organisations including the Friends of Nant Mill, Friends of Kings Mill, Minera Quarry Trust, Wrexham County Borough Council and Brymbo Heritage Trust. The Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Woodland Trust, North Wales Caving Club and Coedpoeth and Minera Community Councils are also involved. The is funded by the Welsh Government’s Green Recovery Capacity Building Scheme which is run by The National Lottery Heritage Fund in Wales.
