Link to Share There s no shortage of options for speedy mare Miss Albania after the daughter of Magnus led throughout to win her third consecutive race at Caulfield on Saturday.
Craig Newitt took the Enver Jusufovic-trained Miss Albania ($4.80 favourite) to the lead from the outside barrier in the Iris O Farrell Handicap (1100m), for fillies and mares at benchmark 70 level, and was never headed, winning by three-quarters of a length. She crossed (to the lead) hard on the bridle, straightened up and I still had a lapful (to spare), Newitt said.
“When I went through her gears she still had her ears pricked and I was holding onto her a little bit longer - she’s pretty exciting.
