Maha signs MoU with UK govt to strengthen start-ups ecosystem

Mumbai: Maharashtra on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the British government under their ACT4Green programme, which aims to enable the Indian and UK start-ups to expand internationally through market entry support in their respective cross-border markets of interest.
The MoU was signed during a virtual ceremony organised by the Maharashtra State Innovation Society (MSInS), a nodal agency setup under the aegis of Skill Development, Employment and Entrepreneurship of the Maharashtra government. The society is responsible for the execution of the state s innovative start-up policy.

MUSCAT: The first Oman Science Festival began at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) was inaugurated by Dr Abdullah bin Mohammed al Futaisi, Advisor at SQU. Organised in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, the festival is part of SQU’s efforts aimed at providing outstanding students with opportunities for innovation and creativity, highlighting the university’s role as a think-tank in various fields including medicine by organising a lecture about clinical skills for school students at the skills lab in the College of Medicine and Health Sciences. The lecture was delivered by a number of experts in the field.
