Argument. It was parked near the corner of 85th avenue and Enterprise Way in in east oakland. People living in nearby rvs heard the shot. I heard like 10 shots. The dog was locked in the house. Couldnt get out to help. They were still recovering from the december 4 shooting. A truck driver shot him in the hand over a parking space. This dog his dog charged at the trucker and was shot in the nose. It was a if it was not for the dog i would not be standing here talking to you. I would be in a funeral home for my brother. It does not appear that the 2 shootings were connected. Jimmy worked as a mechanic fixing peoples cars on the streets. A few hours before the shooting witness says, the customer blamed jimmy for a bad repair job. And demanded a refund. They had a little argument, confrontation. For about 5 to 10 minutes. And any other gentleman drove off. People are looking for that customer, they are also checking out other leads. For now the dog is staying with jimmy sister. She tells
All right. Thank you so much. Well the Civic Center Bart station is back in business tonight after a small fire briefly shut it down. Some debris caught fire on the tracks just before 3 00 this afternoon sending some smoke billowing out of the sidewalk. Station was back open within 20 minutes and everybody was okay. It broke out in a four Story Building under renovation at may on and eddie. Luckily it was mostly contained to a area. No word yet on how this fire started but there is a restaurant on the lower floor of the building so its possible cooking grease may have played a role. A spare the air alert is in affect through tomorrow. It is chilly out there so you will be tempted. Santa rosa and san jose will get down to 37 tonight. 36 at concord. Sounds like one vehicle cut the other one off and somehow they both lost control so we do have the shoulder blocked right now. I dont think we have any lanes blocked, certainly not on the main line of 880. And a quick check of the bay bridge toll plaza. Were looking okay here too.
