Weiner is a former television and software executive, and served as director of international sales at Commission Junction and Citrix Online before co-founding the cloud computing company NTRglobal. During her media and technology career, she worked both nationally and internationally.
“Having grown up in Santa Barbara, I care very deeply about improving the economic security and self-sufficiency of individuals and families throughout Santa Barbara County,” Weiner said. “I am honored to join CommUnify’s committed team, and to have the opportunity to make a positive impact on so many lives.”
Ensemble Theater Company annouces five show season
A South Coast theater company has announced plans for its first live, in person season since the pandemic hit. Santa Barbara’s Ensemble Theater Company will stage five productions starting in October.
Among the offerings is “Tenderly,” a musical about singer Rosemary Clooney. During the holidays, ETC will stage “The Wickhams,” a production based on some of Jane Austen’s most beloved characters.
There’s also “American Son,” a play which takes on the tough issue of racism and the police.
The more than four decade old non-profit is Santa Barbara’s only professional theater company.
