Apr. 27 Four Triangle schools were ranked both among the best high schools in the nation and in the Raleigh and Durham-Chapel Hill metro areas by U.S. News & World Report. Raleigh Charter High, Wake STEM Early College, Woods Charter School and East Chapel Hill High all ranked in the top 500 in the U.S. News 2021 Best High Schools List released early Tuesday. Raleigh Charter and Wake STEM were ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in the Raleigh metropolitan area. Woods Charter and East Chapel Hill were ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in the Durham-Chapel Hill metro area.

Orange County Sheriff s Office: Missing 16-Year-Old s Last Location in Durham

UPDATE: The Orange County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday morning Nicholas Woodrum had been located and is now safely back home safe. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office alerted the community of a missing teenager Wednesday morning, asking the public for help locating him. A release from the office said Nicholas Robert Woodrum, 16, was last seen Tuesday morning when he left home to run an errand. When he did not return by the evening, according to the office, his family reported him missing. Sheriff’s deputies have since entered him into the National Crime Information Center’s missing person database.

Previous story The Orange County Sheriff s Office and Durham Police Department are actively looking for a 16-year-old boy who has been missing since Tuesday. Officials said Nicholas Robert Woodrum left his home Tuesday morning to run an errand and never came back. His parents looked for him for several hours and then reported him missing. Woodrum is a student at Eno River Academy. He is 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs approximately 112 pounds. He has reddish brown hair, blue eyes, and freckles. When last seen, he was wearing a bright blue sweatshirt, jeans, and blue and white high top shoes.
