The launch of a new town centre plan for Enniscorthy has caused consternation among residents and business-owners alike due to the removal of a number of parking spaces. With just hours until its official launch serious concerns have been raised about the Enniscorthy Town Centre First Plan. Details of that plan were revealed last September with Wexford County Council (WCC) confirming its intention to remove 75 on-street parking spaces and focusing on installing more accessible parking.
Enniscorthy Chamber of Commerce is leading calls for Wexford County Council to show real ambition ahead of a vital funding application that has the potential to shape the town’s future for generations to come.
