Article content A century ago, the Similkameen River was dammed, and the salmon that ran the cold, clear water of the upper river suffered a similar fate. Now, 101 years after its construction and 60 years since it ceased generating power, a movement to remove the Enloe Dam from the place where it interrupts the river, about six kilometres northwest of Oroville in Washington state, is gathering support.
