Bahrain’s Noga, Eni unit partner on circular economy drive
MANAMA, January 17, 2021 The National Oil and Gas Authority (Noga) of Bahrain and Eni Rewind, the Italian oil major’s environmental company, have signed an agreement towards joint initiatives for the recovery of soil, water and waste resources in Bahrain. The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed recently via videoconference by Naser Sultan AlSowaidi, CEO of Noga and Paolo Grossi, CEO of Eni Rewind. The agreement, signed in the presence of Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Oil and Claudio Descalzi, Chief Executive Officer of Eni, will jointly seek to identify and promote opportunities for water, soil and landfill management and repurposing in Bahrain, contributing to the progress in implementing the United Nations 2030 Global Goals for sustainable development.

Italian major Eni s environmental company Rewind and Bahrain s National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) have agreed to expand their cooperation to cover water, soil and landfill management and waste repurposing, Eni said in a statement on Thursday.
The memorandum of understanding inked by Rewind s chief executive Paolo Grossi and NOGA s CEO Naser Sultan Al-Suwaidi via videoconference will contribute to progress in implementing the United Nations 2030 sustainable development goals (SDGs) and towards the circular economy, the statement said. We are honoured and eager to partake in environmental projects in the Kingdom of Bahrain through the important partnership signed today with NOGA, said Grossi.
