This isn t autonomous driving - you re still responsible
You can’t buy an autonomous car yet, but you can get some seriously impressive help behind the wheels on the highways. GM’s Enhanced Super Cruise adds automatic lane changing to its hands-off driver assistance, a long-anticipated feature that arrives just as the automaker prepares to nudge the technology into the spotlight. As I discovered in the 2021 Escalade, however, it has a few other new tricks up its sleeve too.
The recipe for Cadillac's new 2022 CT4-V Blackwing and 2022 CT5-V Blackwing is relatively simple. Take the automaker's newest luxury sedans, drop in some
The 5G Smart Car is coming and Qualcomm aims to dominate its dashboard

Qualcomm is firmly embedded in phones, and now it wants to dominate the car dashboard, with multiple launches today that should push 5G-connected vehicles, Alexa-powered infotainment, and eventually autonomous driving into the mainstream. Star of the show is the 4th generation Snapdragon Automotive Cockpit Platforms, designed to unlock features like augmented reality and artificial intelligence for the road.
It’s a flourishing segment, certainly, as new vehicles rapidly catch up to the sort of high-tech interfaces and features that we’ve come to expect from our phones. Embedded 4G LTE and WiFi hotspot support is increasingly common even in the most affordable vehicles, as are Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), while it’s not uncommon for analog gauges to be completely replaced with digital instrumentation.
2021 Cadillac Escalade Diesel First Drive – Torque Tease
Chris Davies - Dec 17, 2020, 11:34am CST
The 2021 Cadillac Escalade diesel is no less vast than its gas sibling, no less lavish, and actually no more expensive, and that presents buyers of big, luxury SUVs with a conundrum. An Escalade with the Duramax turbo-diesel under the hood costs the same, from $77,490 plus destination, and aside from the 600D badge on the rear there’s no visible sign that you opted not to get the V8.
It means you get the same three-row luxury as I found in the 2021 Escalade V8, complete with its throne-like seating, huge curved OLED dashboard, and a healthy array of technology and standard safety equipment. 2WD and 4WD configurations are available, and soon you’ll be able to add Enhanced Super Cruise, which I still contend no Escalade buyer should leave the dealership without.
