PUTRAJAYA: Two localities in Sarawak will be placed under an enhanced movement control order from Feb 6 after a high number of positive cases were detected there.
PETALING JAYA: The enhanced movement control order will be enforced at Bentong Prison and its staff quarters from Monday (Jan 25) until Feb 8 after recording over 600 Covid-19 cases, says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
PETALING JAYA: The enhanced MCO at the Westlite 1 and 2 workers dormitories in Senai, Johor have ended ahead of time, following a downward trend in Covid-19 cases there.
Senior Minister (security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the enhanced MCO at the dormitories was supposed to end on Jan 29 but was lifted on Saturday (Jan 23) on the advice of the Health Ministry after a risk assessment. The Health Ministry conducted 1,978 tests there and 692 came back positive. A reduction in cases in the area was also reported and there are no more samples waiting to be tested, he said in a statement on Saturday.

PUTRAJAYA: The enhanced MCO at Amber Court Apartments in Jalan Genting, Bentong in Pahang and Pusat Pemulihan Akhlak in Muar, Johor will be lifted on Wednesday (Jan 20).
Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said health authorities had carried out 1,644 screenings at the locality since the enhanced MCO was enforced on Dec 10.
Of the figure, 467 tests came back positive.
Ismail Sabri said that health officials confirmed there is a downward trend in the number of positive cases reported and has recommended that the enhanced MCO be lifted on Wednesday as planned.
As for the locality in Muar, he said that health authorities had informed the National Security Council (NSC) special meeting that of 827 tests done, 184 Covid-19 positive cases were reported at the centre.
