Residents of Torquay are outraged after the council cut down 40 palm trees that helped win the Devon town its English Riviera name. Torbay Council said the trees had shown signs of degradation .
Despite trees being good for our well-being, biodiversity, and offsetting our carbon footprint, councils in Torquay and Plymouth and London s TfL have all removed trees recently.
