English Lakes mint cake ice cream ONE of Kendal’s most famous products has been named as a new flavour by English Lakes Ice Cream. The ice cream company has added Romney’s chocolate-coated Kendal Mint Cake to its luxury range of the sweet frozen substance. The ice cream is described as ‘delicately minted’ with dark chocolate crisps. The Kendal company has manufactured mint cake in the town for more than a century and is based at Mintsfeet Trading Estate. Today, the fourth generation of the family leads the creation of the sweet snack that has accompanied walkers and climbers on the travels and adventures across the world.
