BOSTON — Gov. Charlie Baker on Wednesday signed a 2016 voter-approved law tweaked by lawmakers that requires larger enclosures for egg-laying chickens.
‘There's going to be disruption,’ David Radlo, former president of the New England Brown Egg Council, tells CAI. ‘It's a question of how bad this crisis is going to be.’
A six-member conference committee still has not reached an agreement since being tasked in October with resolving differences in the House and Senate bills to make changes to a 2016 voter law.
