By Kevin Zimmermann May 20, 2021 | 6:31 AM Another major road construction project in Sheboygan kicks off on Monday, as a nearly 1-and-a-quarter mile stretch of Geele Avenue is targeted for sanitary and storm sewer repairs, sidewalk improvements and new asphalt pavement. The project, stretching from North 3rd Street to Calumet Drive, will close Geele Avenue to through traffic.  Residents and businesses in the construction area will be mostly accessible using the cross streets, but two intersections will be closed during the project, which is expected to take until September to complete, weather permitting.  Those intersections are at North 15th Street and North 8th Street.  North 15th traffic will detour via Calumet Drive and North Avenue, while 8th Street traffic will use Superior Avenue, North 7th Street and North Avenue.
