On 3-2 vote, Winona County approves next step in $25 million jail

WINONA The architectural team working on the proposed Winona County Jail showed off a new schematic design during Tuesday s Winona County Board of Commissioners meeting.
That design represents a next step toward final approval of the 80-bed, $25.6 million facility, and on a 3-2 vote the county board approved the design and authorized staff to move to the next step, which would include detailed interior designs of the jail.
