Kazakhstan and Russia are working on a long-term gas supply deal. The deal is expected to be completed by the end of the year. It is the first time the two countries have worked together on such a project. The contract is worth an estimated $1.5 billion, according to the Russian Energy Ministry. It will be the largest gas deal in the history of the Russian gas industry. It comes after a deal worth $1 billion was agreed with Russia in 2010.
