The east side went off for about an hour and a half and then it went back on just before 4 30 because just outside of town, pg e has some generators that are keeping the lights and the businesses running here in calistoga. Right on cue, the power in downtown calistoga went out at 3 00 p. M. , leaving the tourist town and many of its visitors at a loss. That was the explosion as it happened. Officials say the fire is contained but they have yet to determine what started it. The fire sent an awful lot of the black smoke into the air in rodeo, hercules and crockett. Interstate 80 is now open after 80 was shut down in both directions for hours yesterday.
