Russian invasion forces in eastern Ukraine persist in continuing assault operations against Ukrainian positions, though there has been a slight reduction in the number of attacks, Major Nadiya Zamryha, head of the public relations service of the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade “Prince Roman the Great", said on Jan. 10, in an interview with Ukrainian news channel Espreso.
A total of 81 combat engagements were recorded on the Ukrainian frontlines on Dec. 23, with Russians launching the majority of attacks – 40 assaults launched specifically at the Avdiivka direction, the General Staff reported in a daily combat summary on Dec. 24.
The enemy used armored vehicles to initiate massive offensive actions on the Avdiivka and Maryinka fronts two days ago, Tavria group commander, Brig. Gen. Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, reported on Telegram, on Dec. 12.
Sixty combat engagements took place on the frontline on Dec. 9, with Russians attacking the most near Bakhmut (14 attacks) and Avdiivka (19 attacks) in the Donbas, the Ukrainian military’s General said in its report the morning of the 655th day of the full-scale invasion.
Over the past day, Ukraine’s General Staff reported almost 60 clashes, with Ukrainian forces holding positions along the left bank of the Dnipro River, actively engaging in counter-battery combat, and launching artillery strikes on the enemy’s rear.
