Jeff Bezos sets his sights on a new frontier in space in the coming days after building a gargantuan business empire that has in many ways conquered the Earth.
Bezos and three others - his brother Mark, barrier-breaking female aviator Wally Funk and 18-year-old high school graduate Oliver Daemen - will fly to space on July 20.
His journey into space aboard a reusable rocket built by his firm Blue Origin comes just two weeks after he stepped aside as chief executive of Amazon, which grew from a garage startup into one of the world s most formidable businesses.
It also follows right after a similar trip by fellow billionaire Richard Branson, who entered space aboard a spacecraft built by his company Virgin Galactic.
