Chardonnay can easily stand up to the roast bird as well as gravy, bread sauce and sweet-toned roast vegetables.
If you haven’t yet bought white wine for the Christmas feast, my advice is to keep things streamlined. There’s little point in having several different bottles on the go to satisfy the sauv blanc lovers, the pinot grigio fans and so on. Ideally, your choice of white will go well with the starter and segue into the main course effortlessly too.
