In a game dominated on the defensive side, Seton Hall came out victorious in the nation’s capital as the Pirates defeated the Georgetown Hoyas 60-50 to earn their fourth straight win.
Coming off of a dominant win over Georgetown on Wednesday, the Pirates looked to keep themselves in the win column as tournament time approaches. Xavier came to town and battled Seton Hall to the final buzzer in a game that ultimately fell in favor of The Hall, 91-86.
Though the weather in South Orange was gloomy on Wednesday evening, it was not the only rain that Georgetown experienced. Seton Hall women’s basketball splashed 19 three-pointers, both a program and Big East conference single-game record, in their dominant 91-62 win to snap their three-game losing streak.
