CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga - The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-Central Luzon (RTWPB-3) has approved a PHP40 daily salary increase for minimum wage earners in the region. Geraldine Panlilio, regional director of the Department of Labor and Employment-Central Luzon (DOLE-3) and chair of the RTWPB-3, said on Tuesday the wage increase will be given in two tranches as agreed upon by wage board members and labor and management representatives from different industries in the region. Panlilio said the first tranche which is PHP30 will be implemented 15 days after the publication of the wage adjustment while the remaining PHP10 will take effect in January 2023. Under the Covid-19 Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP) 3, workers and individuals in the private sector whose jobs were affected by the declaration of Alert Level 3 are entitled to a one-time financial assistance of PHP5,000. Of the total number of beneficiaries in the region, 711 are from Bulacan; 587 from Pampanga; 180 from Zambales; 127 from Tarlac; 57 from Nueva Ecija; and eight from Bataan.
