'We are the change we seek': UK student creates non-profit to support unhoused in Lexington

Born and raised in Lexington, Jonathan Richardson saw a need in the community for support and resources for the people around him. He wanted to create change, but didn’t know just how  yet. With personal experiences fueling his heart, Richardson put what he was learning at UK into practice to create change.

Father-daughter duo graduate together from UK

After years of hard work and determination, father and daughter, Jeff and Shelby Lynn, will walk across the commencement stage today to receive their bachelor’s degrees from the University of Kentucky College of Communication and Information. The journey to this moment was not an easy one, as both faced their own unique challenges along the way. But together, they supported each other through the ups and downs, and now celebrate their achievements  side by side.

Passion for lifelong learning spurs return to online 'classroom' for Fine Arts grad

As one of the nation’s only community arts extension agents, it is Anne Stephens job to provide a variety of educational experiences to Greenup County, Kentucky, residents of all ages. So, it was only natural for her to “walk the walk” as they say, and pursue a graduate degree made possible by her employer, University of Kentucky.
