this is when they turn off the media when they start going after the president. they take something that is completely explainable and perfectly accurate within context of the president talking about people that they are deporting now, and there was an emphas emphasis, as there always has been, on the criminal element being he deported. the sheriff was talking about ms-13. and the president was commenting on those very individuals. to say he doesn t get a pass because he said offensive things in the past, sorry, that doesn t cut it. he is able to accurately reflect his mood, the mood of many in the room, and millions of americans that these are in fact, bad people who are, quote, animals, and who are doing horrific things within our country. i understand that people sometimes hyperb on ole can offend people.

today, religious freedom certainly a central part of the speech, but i ll tell you, when he got to that message about inclusiveness, reflecting on the history of our country going back to the founders, the history of abraham lincoln and then to today, that is when this crowd erupted. and i sense from him the greatest energy as he was delivering those lines. many again off the cuff delivered and repeated with emphas emphasis. really a remarkably powerful message today and the people here felt that. one thing i would note at the end, our father prayer, that was off script, as well, then he blessed the crowd. you felt the crowd go to silence as it accepted that blessing. you heard we heard miguel marquez speaking earlier of the catholic lottery when those parents had the children kissed by the pope. i feel people here just to be in that presence, to receive that blessing even from a distance, felt like they were very lucky, as well. jake and poppy?
