(Kerala) [India], August 13 (ANI): Kerala High Court dismissed the anticipatory bail plea of CC Johnson, a former Pastor and a trustee of Emperor Emmanuel Church, Mooriyadu in Thrissur district, who is an accused in a rape case of Indian athlete Olympian Mayookha's friend.

Kerala HC calls for investigating officer s report in Olympian Mayookha Johny s friend rape case

Representative image ANI | Updated: Jul 20, 2021 06:10 IST Kochi (Kerala) [India], July 20 (ANI): The Kerala High Court on Monday asked the report from the investigation officer in a rape case which came to light after OlympianMayookha Johny held a press meet in June this year and alleged that her friend was raped and blackmailed in 2016. A bench of Justice Shircy V posted the petition of the woman who was allegedly raped, for hearing on July 30, seeking a probe by a special investigation team. The court directed the public prosecutor to include all the details in the report and submit it before the next hearing.

Muringoor rape case: Police yet to file report in High Court

Express News Service KOCHI: Though two months have passed since the Kerala High Court directed the state police to file a report on the status of investigation regarding the alleged rape of a 32-year-old woman at Muringoor by a former priest of Emperor Emmanuel Church, Thrissur, the police are yet to file a report. The victim filed the petition seeking a directive to constitute a Special Investigation Team for effective probe on May 3 and it came up for hearing on May 4 before the High Court. Justice P Gopinath had sought the view of the state government and directed the District Police Chief, Thrissur, to file a report regarding the status of the probe into the complaint filed by the victim within two weeks. The court had also directed to post the case after receiving the report. But the police have not filed the report till date.
