Super Eagles duo of William Troost Ekong and Isaac Success helped Watford gain promotion to the Premier League- the top tier of English football after a 1-0 win over Millwall on Saturday.
The promotion means Watford makes an instant return to top-flight football following their relegation last season.
Ekong who joined from Serie A side, Udinese played a pivotal role in the team’s run to sealing Premier League status, playing 32 matches and scoring in a 3-2 win over Coventry City.
Ekong speaking ahead of the match said he and his teammates had before the start of the season set their sight on trying to go all the way and give everything to the last game.

House of Representatives member, Yusuf Gagdi has said Nigerians should equally be held responsible for Isa Pantami becoming a minister in the wake of the controversy trailing comments he made in the past.
Pantami’s comments have been a major talking point since it resurfaced, leading to calls for his resignation or outright sack.
Gagdi who represents Pankshin/Kanam/Kanke federal constituency of Plateau State and Chairman House Committee on Navy said those who were in possession of the video that had Pantami making those comments should have produced it before his screening and eventual confirmation by the National Assembly.
Alaba reaches agreement to join Real Madrid on five-year deal

Bayern Munich defender, David Alaba has reportedly agreed to join Spanish giants Real Madrid on a five-year deal that will start at this end of this current season.
Although the Austria international is yet to sign a contract, both clubs are expected to make an announcement anytime soon.
Talks to extend his stay with the Bundesliga side, including a £13m-a-year deal fell through after both parties failed to reach an agreement.
Alaba, in his 13 years at Bayern has won nine Bundesliga titles and two Champions League crowns. He was also part of the team that won the Club World Cup in February.

NPFL: Ahmed Musa to miss most of Kano Pillars’ away games

Kano Pillars new signing, Ahmed Musa will miss most of his side’s away matches in the Nigeria Professional Football League due to issues bad roads.
Vanguard learnt that while Musa will be available for home matches, he will only appear in away matches that are close to Kano or those he can attend with flight.
Club sources also revealed that Musa who will not receive any salary will also donate his bonuses to charity.
Musa rejoined Kano Pillars-his boyhood club, on a short-loan deal after being without a club since he left Al Nassr of the Saudi Professional League.
