Suspended education department head Dr Naledi Mbude has entered round two in her fight to have a precautionary suspension set aside. Mbude on Wednesday made an application for leave to appeal before judge Avinash Govindjee in a virtual sitting. The application came three months after she lost her first bid at the Bhisho high court in May when the judge dismissed her urgent application to have her precautionary suspension by premier Oscar Mabuyane declared unlawful and set aside.
