Akwa United have come out tops in the battle for the top position of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) with a 2-1 victory over second placed Nasarawa United in yesterday’s double header at the Nest of Champions in Uyo.
The ‘Promise keepers’ who are hunting for a maiden title went in search of an early goal but Ikechukwu Nwani missed a sitter from 10 yards in the 10th minute.
The ‘solid miners’ also responded immediately as they forced Akwa Utd keeper, Adewale Adeyinka to make a smart fingertip save to deny Silas Nwankwo.

Murder does not become anything less that murder because it is mass murder by intentioanal and unjustly destroying 100,00 human beings.
