May 13, 2021 THE daily average number of new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases reported in Arayat, Pampanga have decreased from more than 10 to five since last week, Mayor Emmanuel Bon Alejandrino said.
Alejandrino said the number of Covid-19 cases in the town has surged from January to April 2021, infecting over 200 residents including the mayor himself and his wife. The surge started to decline by the start of May and last week, we were only averaging five new cases per day, he said.
From May 5 to 11, the rural health unit here recorded 37 new cases of Covid-19.
The mayor cited the continuous disinfection activities conducted in public places and barangay roads as one of the reasons behind the drop in numbers.

+ December 23, 2020 ARAYAT Mayor Emmanuel Bon Alejandrino was again named by the Superbrands Marketing International as the 2020 Most Outstanding Mayor (Moma) of the Philippines.
This is the sixth consecutive year that Alejandrino has bagged the prestigious award following his winning streak that started in 2015.
During the simple awarding ceremony held in a resort in Barangay Gatiawin here, Alejandrino credited the award to his fellow local officials and government employees who joined him in his crusade to develop their hometown.
