DURIAN PRODUCTION. Some 50 durian growers in the Caraga Region are undergoing a three-day training on production and marketing opportunities from Jan. 30 to Feb.1 at the Agricultural Training Institute in Butuan City. Local traders engaged in fruit exports, particularly durian, forecast that durian exports to China could reach $150 million (P8.24 billion) on the first year from the signing of the agreement.
