Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School senior Emma Niebuhr won first place in the Minnesota State Speech Competition in Extemporaneous Reading. MVL advanced three students to state for a virtual speech meet in two categories: Niebhur in Extemporaneous Reading and seniors Nick Pleiss and Andy Muske in Duo Interpretation. Niebuhr, who was recently named a member of the MSCA All-State Speech Team, won first place in her category, ending her four-year career in Speech at MVL.
