The Glenwood Springs High School girls swim team clinched third place at the Colorado Class 3A State Championships for the second year in a row last weekend, demonstrating their aquatic prowess among a competitive field.
According to AHS girls swim coach Stewart Nixon, sophomore Sara Michelin found a spark at the end of last season. This led to “a renewed interest in swimming year-round” and paved the way for a strong second winter with the Skiers.

The Glenwood Springs Girls Swim Team extended their undefeated streak and secured their fourth consecutive conference title at the 2024 Southwest Girls Conference Meet in Grand Junction last weekend, and will now send 11 swimmers.
