The event – organised by Keighley Rotary Club – attracted 16 entries, from vocalists and instrumentalists. Participants ranged in age from nine to 18. Judges Jess Mahler and Emily Overend have viewed the entries and results will be announced later this month. Videos of the performances can also be seen on the Keighley Rotary Club Facebook page – and an extra prize will be offered to the entrant with the most likes at 10pm on January 15. The club has been staging a young musician competition for years, to tie in with a national contest, but the usual live event couldn t take place this time due to the Covid-19 restrictions.
