Organized by the Business Development Board of Canada over 30 years ago, the third week of October is a time for small business owners to celebrate their dedication and success while taking some time to learn and network. This year Oct. 14 to 19 were the dates dedicated to Canada s small businesses.
Locally, the Whistler Chamber of Commerce has decided to take this one step further by offering its members and prospective members with some great events for the entire month of October. The lineup includes a series of helpful courses designed with the needs of our small businesses in mind.
Upcoming courses include Excel functions and tables, Foodsafe Level 1 and Simply Accounting Levels 1 and 2. There are two workshops remaining in the series - The Power of Engagement Marketing and E-Newsletter Marketing for Small Businesses. There are also several networking opportunities available during October. For a full schedule of events, you can visit www.whistlerchamber.com
