Emily Hardison Childress passed away on Friday, Jan. 4, 2021, at 1:30 p.m.
A native of Lawrenceburg, she moved to Cleveland in 1968. She was employed by Cleveland Bank and Trust and the Cleveland City School System. She was an active member of Broad Street United Methodist Church and the Rogers Sunday School Class. She was also very active in the BSUMC Congregational Care Committee and Unity Center for more than 25 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Adrienne Hardison; son, Jeffery Mark Childress; and siblings: Roy Hardison Jr. and Laverne Young.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Richard Childress; daughter and husband, Melanie and Mitchell Wickman; grandchildren: Tyler and Taylor Wickman; great-grandson, Nolan Wickman; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
