Eileen Beeson has been hired to lead the shelter for SPCA. We are very excited about having her join us, said Lenoir County SPCA board president Jerry Henderson, in an email.
The SPCA has been under a microscope in recent months with allegations and questions coming from former board members and employees of flaws in the organization s management and operation.
In a phone interview, Beeson verified that she has turned in her three-week notice as director of the county shelter, with her last day being March 5. Beeson began her job at Craven on April 29, 2019 and was the fourth director within a two-year period.
