Tigers Finish 3-0 in Doubles, Wrap Up Second Day of Gator Fall Invite

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Clemson Tigers went undefeated in doubles as three pairings earned wins against their respective opponents. Trey Stinchcomb, Spencer Whitaker and Max Smith all recorded singles victories as the Tigers completed the second day of the Gator Fall Invite.  “We have some important concepts on productive and successful habits our guys are trying to learn and become more aware of. Today was another great day of competition that tested our guys on these concepts. Great to see our guys making continuous strides in doubles and in singles, we have some room to grow,” Head Coach Brandon Wagner said. “Tomorrow is our last opportunity this fall together to work through some of these. Looking forward to seeing our guys take advantage of it tomorrow in both areas.” In doubles, all three Tiger pairings defeated their opponents as Clemson continues to shine in doubles. The duo of Noa Vukadin and Max Smith defeated Florida’s Nate Bonetto and Tanapat Nirundorn, 6-3.

Tigers Conclude 2023 Fall Schedule at Final Day of Gator Fall Invite

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Clemson Tigers completed the final day of the Gator Fall Invite and officially wrapped up their first fall season under new head coach, Brandon Wagner. In the final day of play, the Tigers earned victories in both doubles and singles. “Today wrapped up another day of great competition and the opportunity to learn more about ourselves. It also showed us more what needs to fall into place this upcoming season for us to have the season we want. We have a great training block coming up to take advantage of and fine tune some areas that need improvement,” Wagner said. “Overall this was an awesome fall of great team tournament opportunities and there are more individual ones on the table still this fall for them.” In doubles, the pairing of Noa Vukadin and Max Smith recorded their third straight victory of the invite. Tigers Earn Singles, Doubles Wins in Day One of Gator Fall Invite

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Clemson Tigers earned singles and doubles victories as they took on University of Central Florida on the first day of the Gator Fall Invite. Two pairings recorded wins in doubles while Matt Pitts and Trey Stitchcomb garnered victories in singles. “Today was a great experience for our guys but especially for our freshmen. They are getting a good taste against good competition of what dual matches will be like this upcoming spring. Nice to see overall that our doubles was strong today and continued from our last event. Our guys learned some more lessons in singles today and look to take advantage of some opportunities better tomorrow,” Head Coach Brandon Wagner said. In doubles, the successful duo of Marko Mesarovic and Pitts defeated UCF’s Paul Colin and Mehdi Benchakroun, 6-4.
