Police car A HUNT has been launched for the driver of a car which knocked down a three-year-old boy, leaving him with a head injury. The toddler was hit in Burford Avenue on April 22 between 3pm and 3.20pm. He was taken to Great Western Hospital for treatment. Police say the driver, of a silver saloon-style car, initially stopped and spoke to the family before driving off without passing on any details. The driver is described as a white man, approximately 6ft tall and was wearing a shirt and grey trousers. PC Emilia Cutler said: “I would urge the driver involved in this incident, who will know who they are, to get in contact with us immediately.
A GOOD Samaritan stepped in to stop a 16-year-old being attacked by a group of teenage boys. The victim suffered facial injuries and two chipped teeth after the group approached and punched him while he walked between Morrisons in Thames Avenue and the Orbital Shopping Centre Asda around 6pm on December 18 The assault only stopped when a passing pedestrian intervened and helped him Police are appealing for the public s help to find the kind man who saved the day as he is a key witness to the vicious attack. Two boys, aged 14 and 15 respectively, have been formally interviewed in connection with the assault.
