He was named as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2006 and became a fellow of the Aspen Institute in 2012.

Jordanian tech entrepreneur dies from heart attack
Sunday, esteemed Jordanian tech entrepreneur Emile Cubeisy died of a heart attack in his home in Amman.
Cubeisy, considered one of the most prominent entrepreneurs in Jordan and the Arab world, invested in and ran several regional start-ups throughout his career.
At the time of his death, he served as a managing partner of Silicon Badia, which focuses on investments in the Middle East.
In 2000, Cubeisy served as director of initiatives at the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology in Jordan, and in 2003 served as director of the Jordan Education Initiative.
In 2005, the World Economic Forum selected Cubeisy as a member of the Young Global Leaders.
