Id like to talk about the father he blamed the victim for the conduct of his son. Hes wrong. And the problem is, he actually believes its her fault. He didnt just say that to try to protect his son he believes its her fault. Thats whats really bad. Most of us who are males in this house, we have sons, i do, have one, have grandsons, we have an in gation to raise our sons accordance with basic human rights, and explain to them when theyre very young, there are some things you just cant do. Youre going to be punished for it. But also, its wrong. And Sexual Assault is one of those. Its wrong. You cannot do that. We need to explain that.
